Short documentary about my German grandmother

My cousin came to me and asked if I would help her with a simple school project. She tends to get anxiety when having to present in front of a class, so her teacher agreed that she could make a simple 5 minute video telling the story of one of her heroes.
She decided to talk our grandmother, Gerlint Ursula Zuge, and asked if I would help her record some simple interviews of our family and help her put the video together. After the first interview with her father, Mario Reeve, I became extremely passionate about the project. What was originally supposed to be a simple 5 minute interview turned into a full 30 minute short documentary about the life of my amazing grandmother.
This was my first attempt at documentary style film and it taught me how much I loved to learn about real stories and wanted to share them, giving those without a voice a chance to speak. This is one of the many reasons I decided to go into Journalism.
